Emily Dean serves as Assistant Professor of Ministry to Women at New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary where she earned a PhD and MDiv in Christian Education. Emily is the author of Women Leading Well: Stewarding the Gift of Ministry Leadership by B&H Academic. As a writer and frequent conference speaker, Emily enjoys training women on how to live out God’s call to disciple making.
She and her husband, Dr. Jody Dean, along with their two children, live in the New Orleans area where Jody also serves as Professor of Discipleship and Ministry Leadership at NOBTS. Prior to serving in teaching ministry, they have served churches in Louisiana, Alabama, and Mississippi and welcome every opportunity to invest in God’s people.
